Long live the Majesty Lounge!

Many people ask us all the time how did we get where we are. We have been hosting poetry shows around the Birmingham area since 2015, hopping from venue to venue. The last venue that we worked with had left a bad taste in our mouth. Most venues don't understand the spirituality of the arts, especially that of spoken word. Some don't even pay the poets fairly because they believe that "exposure should be enough." Because of this, we went and looked for our own venue to call home for us and other artists. As a result, Majesty Lounge had its grand opening on May 26, 2018. We've had national touring artists come and feature at our venue, as well as hosted different events (birthday parties, wedding receptions, jewelry parties, mixers, forums, etc.) If you're looking for a small venue for your event, please contact us! Majesty Lounge is a performance and event venue located in Bessemer, AL. Also known as the ML, the venue offers all forms of artistry, from poetry, comedy, dance, etc. The venue can also be rented for any type of event.
